This old wooden clarinet is stamped EVETTE SPONSORED BY BUFFET PARIS FRANCE within an oval. The two longer pieces are stamped with a serial number A2010. The mouthpiece is black plastic (neither the mouthpiece nor its cover are marked). It is housed in an old case with maroon plush lining. There is a pre-zipcode (1963) foil label for an instrument repair business on the inside of the case - it probably hasn’t been serviced since. When closed the case measures about 13.25" x 6.5" x 3.75. Please keep in mind that the price includes shipping - this item will weigh 5 lbs once wrapped.
Condition: I do not see any cracks in the wood. The metal parts have very minor discoloration or corrosion. The pads that are visible are very old and yellowed and the corks are obviously old - they do not feel dry (waxed?). All of the keys seem to work but I cannot judge how playable the clarinet is. The plush lining of the case is worn and discolored and very slightly musty (I do not detect an odor unless I put my face right next to it. The handle and latches are secure (I do not have the key to lock it) although the metal fittings for the case are rusted/corroded and the case exterior has moderate wear consistent with age and normal use.
