Two vintage advertising items for cleaning records:
Record Cleaning Cloth still sealed in plastic bag from Maggie’s Music Mart (there were stores in San Bruno and Burlingame, California - “The Peninsula’s Newest and Friendliest Record & Hi-Fi Shops”). Claims to remove static charges - protects - cleans - lubricates. Best for Hi-Fi. The sealed bag measures 4.75x7.
Circular Columbia records cleaning device advertising Monson Drug Record Nook from Mountain View, California. The 3.5" diameter celluloid back was manufactured by the Philadelphia Badge Co (they also made pin-back buttons and advertising pocket mirrors). The navy blue plush cleaning surface appears to be made of mohair.
Condition: Light surface wear to unopened plastic bag. There is surface wear including scuffs, scratches and light soil to the Monson Drug item and very minor loss to the mohair surface. NOTE: these are being sold as music collectibles only - I do not know if they are suitable for actual use or if they could scratch or harm your vintage record albums or 78's.
