A Catalog of Beautiful Jewelry, c.1925, 7.75x10.75, 52 pages, black/white illustrations, stapled at spine, E Richwine Co - Wholesale Manufacturing Jewelers Importers and Gem Cutters, Chicago, IL.
This original, fully illustrated catalog features both gold and gold-filled jewelry and sterling silver with a “platinum finish”. Many of the pieces are set with “corodite gems” or “corodite diamonds” which were (synthetic?) diamond look-a-likes, not genuine diamonds. Features rings, earrings, scarf pins, brooches, lockets, bracelets, bar pins, cameos, etc, many with the dainty filigree designs now associated with the 1920's. Also includes a few musical instruments (Hawaiian guitars, ukuleles and banjo ukuleles, tenor banjos), silverplate, curtains, bed linens, fountain pens, manicure sets in roll-out leather cases, etc. With original prices.
Condition: Only Fair condition with tattered covers including some small missing chunks, very well-thumbed, short tear at side margins, stain at extreme side margins of some pages (no impact to text or illustration). Two small chunks missing from rear cover impact the text captions for two watches - the contents are otherwise complete, legible and still quite useful for reference.
