This old metal match holder features a brass case with a copper (or copper-colored) shield affixed to the front bearing a finely detailed view of Yosemite. Half Dome towers about the treetops with a figure mounted on horseback below. Encircling the scene is embossed "Yosemite National Park - California’s All-Year Play Land". Depressing the button at the top edge opens the case to insert the matches. The closed measurements are 2 1/4" x 1 5/8". Stamped on the back is the maker’s mark JEMCO within a diamond and the model name HOLD-A-LITE. This is another interesting piece of Yosemite memorabilia reflecting the spectacular nature of the park and its storied history.
